I've been to Waterbury Hospital several times and they been excellent. Every one from the Emergency are so friendly and helpful. ( Mrs. Vega, she is awesome) she kept coming to the room and asking me if I needed anything and very friendly. I recommend this hospital. Keep up the amazing job you do for your patience's!

The staff at Waterbury Hospital were AMAZING! I had to get an MRI and a lumbar puncture, and never having had these procedures before, I was very anxious. Nancy and Debbie at the MRI building were extremely kind and understanding, and really helped in calming me down and walking me through everything they had to do. Justin and Wendy took care of my lumbar puncture and they were also very nice and understanding of my anxieties. Before the procedure they explained everything step by step, and during they talked me through everything they were doing. While going to the hospital is never a fun experience, the staff here are incredible and do everything they can to make sure the visit is as easy as possible.

My wife and I have both been misdiagnosed 3x in the ER by one specific dr. The first time my wife went there crying in pain, had to use a wheelchair just to get in, for them to take 3 hours just to see a dr who said “Oh you probably have kidney stones, you’re fine.” Even though my wife told them it was her gallbladder and sure enough, this supposed dr misdiagnosed my wife to the point where she needed SURGERY. Though I will say the surgeon was great and surgery went very well. The 2nd time my wife was there it took 2 hours to go from the waiting room to a bed in the ER. Then another 3 hours just to speak to a dr, then another hour to have a scan done and finally another hour for the nurse to come in and say “You have kidney stones, here’s your discharge paperwork.” When my wife already told them she had kidney stones. This last time we got to the ER at 8pm, waited 3 hours for a bed (granted it was busy), then another hour to talk to a dr who ordered another cat scan, which took 3 HOURS just to get done, and NOW we have still been waiting another HOUR AND A HALF for the results. We have been here as long as some of the employees shifts. We have been here a total of 8.5 hours and still have not heard anything else since the scan. This used to be a great hospital. I don’t know or understand what happened. It truly is sad, upsetting and frustrating.

My wife and I just recently had a baby born there and for every nice nurse it was accommodated by 3 rude ones. This isn’t our first born...we have two other perfectly healthy children but if you aren’t doing things there way then you’re wrong and in there eyes unqualified. I won’t say any names but our first RN was great after that they were all rude, stuck up and their personalities don’t fit into this center of the hospital. The Food Manager was nicer than the vast majority of nurses we came across. Not to mention, our room was in poor condition. The water on one of the sinks dripped all night, the shower glass wall came detached from the screw, the wall looked like a sledge hammer had been taken to it. It’s just poorly kept. You get different answers from everyone in addition to all of this. One person tells you the test results are one way while another tells you something completely different. The communication, the respect, the skills it takes to be successful in this field are at the bare minimum at Waterbury Hospital and if my wife and I decide to have another before calling it quits I will do everything in my power to not have the child here.

From my experience in this hospital they should do more of cleaning then just the floor and some of the walls in some of the waiting room or emergency rooms need to be clean down more last time I was there I seen blood spots on the walls. I'm going for surgery in a few weeks and I would never have it down there Yale hospital is the place I go to have any surgery down best doctors in the field to do anything for a life so most of all these people had some really bad experiences in this hospital. Well how I see it goes to waterbury hospital is going to your earliest grave for me I wouldn't go to waterbury hospital or st Mary's hospital they both suck

The worst emergency room they have. They have one doctor all night long, another issue is we’ve been here over 3 hours and none has seen us they are too busy laughing and making jokes of people. Their only answer is we have no doctors currently so your father has to wait, been here over 3 hours and still nothing. You have nurses just sitting there and talking on the phone all night long doing NOTHING. IGNORE THIS PLACE IF POSSIBLE. REDIC!!!!

Leaves much to be desired the only reason it gets three stars is because the overall level of competence hovers above adequate enough of the time. Food is just ok.

Inpatient or Residential Mental Health Treatment
Inpatient Mental Health | Mental Health
Inpatient or residential mental health treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
