I went for treatment and left having staff lose my wallet and my money they put in their safe! I wouldn’t bring anything in your pockets not even an ID because the patient advocate will not even return your calls or think about reimbursement until you file a police report. Valle vista has my information already check my wallet!

I went a few years ago. The only thing you learn here is if you try to commit, don’t fail next time or you’ll end up here. it feel like you’re in jail. I lied my way out of there because it’s no different than dealing with it all on your own.

I was needing help and they were the only ones ready to help me. I was kinda hard on them but they treated me well. I’m much better now. saying thank you for 365 days of sobriety and stable bipolar.

Although, it is stressful I leave work feeling professionally fulfilled and I've made a difference. The leadership team is forward thinking and truly care about the patients and employees. I believe the CEO when he says he wants employees to feel Valle Vista is their work home. Healthcare as an industry is fatigued and there is no longer such a thing as "the grass being greener on the other side." With that being said I'm confident Valle Vista will be the mental health provider with greener grass than the others because of the caring that takes place; from the receptionist, to the cafeteria employees, facilities, patient care staff and management.

I will admit, the facility is dirty and probably understaffed and the food wasn’t good BUT this place changed my life. I got sent here from the ER from heroin withdrawal and the group therapy was so helpful and life changing, some of the staff was so caring and kind and the doctor I saw really took care of me. I would like to find his email to thank him but cannot on the website. He had a long talk with me for when I left and it changed my life as well. I saw amazing people here and true empathy and care. There was one social worker who really fought for the well being of the patients as well. There were some staff that weren’t nice but those were mostly cleaning staff. Not the nurses or therapists or doctors. They were all awesome in my opinion. And outpatient is great as well. You just have to put in the work too. I will always be grateful for this place. I’m six months sober.

I’ve worked here for a year and I admit, there’s a lot of issues with this company, but I have seen miles of improvement since I got here. The new management seems to really care about making positive changes and I appreciate that. Even though there’s a lot of things that go on that I don’t like (constant protocol changes that are confusing, staff acting inappropriate towards patients and having inappropriate relationships with each other, issues with patient belongings, low pay, people who don’t like their jobs, and gossiping among staff), I really see things beginning to turn around. They started a team of people meant to talk about problems and improve them and I thought that was great. I’m not sure if they still have that. The CEO and CNO are kind and seem to want things to get better. There’s a lot of staff here that really do care about the patients and each other, and it makes this a better place to work, at least for me. If you thrive in crisis situations, and work well with people, and have a passion for mental health, this place is for you. I can only give it 3 stars right now, but I hope things continue to improve so I can change my rating or give a better one down the road. I plan to work there as long as I can to try to make things better for the patients and see if this could become a really good place to seek treatment.

Please find another facility to going to go get help. It took a few days before I was give n my (31) bag with MY clothes that my family brought. (Staff said it was locked on the residential side) So, why could someone kindly retrieve it? The group sessions were helpful but, no individual therapy. If staff took the time, to ask Hey Why are you here? I would have explained the course of events that brought me to needing help. One staff member in particular, was good and compassionate to the best of her ability. It took 3x to the doctor that one of my meds was clearly not helping me and thank goodness for a great nurse who finally, seemed to listen to me. Rachel, their social worker helped but forget trying to contact their patient advocate, (A Joke) I do have a new found thankfulness for one lady whom let me "borrow" one of her shirts because of not receiving my clothes (Not in a paper bag) I know their policy is not let you have your cell phone and you can't use their phone for a certain time (supposed to help you) but, like myself not having any contact with my family made it worse....I had to miss going down to lunch in order to see the doctor-NOT aceeptable

This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. The staff were extremely rude and belittled the patients with more of the extreme mental health issues. one staff member in particular named Shonda in the adult mental health wing was horrible. She acted like anything you asked her was an inconvenience and she made fun of patients who clearly were in need of help and couldnt help acting the way they did. If you cant be caring and compassionate towards other people you need a different job. All in all please do your research before checking in here, I absolutely do not recommend this treatment center because you will not get treatment, its basically a jail setting where most of the staff treat you like you're less than human.

The only thing positive to say about this place are the group sessions. And being able to hear everyone’s stories. Those only go so far. Next to zero time one on one with a doctor. Took 6 hours for my wife to receive her clothing items while the rude employees stood around at the rear entrance. I’ve left 2 messages to talk with my wife so it’s obviously not being passed on. Someone needs to come in and clean house. The employees obviously have no desire to be there except to collect a check.

Inpatient or Residential Mental Health Treatment

Inpatient or residential mental health treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
