This hospital should be ashamed of themselves. i called for a loved over a week ago, filled out the online paperwork, was told I'd get a call back and I have heard nothing. Shame on you. People are hurting and your lack of follow-up is destructive. Shame on you.

If you want a horrid experience (before entering the program), this is your ticket! If you want an over-promising commitment and an under-delivering outcome, Rogers is your center. If you want "therapists" that are not licensed, Rogers in Tampa, Fl is your center. Among a plethora of other issues, I’m still waiting for the Director of Operations Heather to call me back (it’s been 3 business days and numerous emails). I honestly think she’s avoiding me. Please, do your research before entering this program. These people are a bunch of clowns!
I went to Rogers Behavioral Health back in 2017, to be completely honest, this program was horrid. My 'therapist' was not the best, he had told me to "shut up" when he was talking with my mother and tried adding on to it and made me leave the room. To reinforce other things being said in the reviews, the staff here really push you way too far out of your comfort zone, which under certain circumstances can help with your anxiety. They have a system called 'exposures' that you do to 'help' you. A friend I am still in touch with to this day still has PTSD from this place, a certain staff member would steal her things when she wasn't around, and made her have to confront her about it, the main problem with this was the staff member was very passive aggressive for no reason, and told my friend she needed to be more assertive or she would not get it back. She still is missing a few things. She did NOT get them back after her discharge. Looking back at it, yes you need to be 'assertive' in life, but the way this was handled was horrible. Another issue I had with my so called therapist, he made me draw a mustache on my face using a marker and walk around with it the whole time I was there. It might not seem too bad, but at the time, I was very worried about my appearance. I was not okay with doing this, along with most of the other exposures, but they claim you "Need better care" and recommend an in-patient facility because you didn't want to draw a mustache on your upper lip. The process can work, but the way it is done here is honestly awful.
I can’t say enough about this great facility. My daughter had such severe anxiety that she had to drop out three times, but each time she was taken back. After 2 years, she still says how life-changing the experience was. She started a business after leaving the facility. I almost fainted seeing her interacting with people and enjoying the experience! This after staying in her bedroom for at least 20 hours a day! She continues to talk to some of her friends who experience similar issues using techniques she learned at this facility. Unfortunately, these types of facilities are few and far between, and they cost a bundle! I put her through the university, but I feel this was the most useful and precious money I ever spent!!!
I can't praise the Rogers team enough! I am so thankful we found this eating disorder program for my daughter. Even during a pandemic, they were able to fully treat her, via telehealth. Anorexia was new to our household, but Ms. Rachel, Ms. Christina, Ms. Marah, and the entire team, not only treated my daughter but EDUCATED our family so we could be a part of my daughter's growth & recovery. They provided my family knowledge, tools, and techniques to help my daughter even after her discharge. During my daughter's time with Rogers, her "team" felt more like friends or family members which made the experience feel real and not "clinical." They truly care about their patients and they even celebrated my daughter's victories as if they were their own. I could go on and on about how amazing this program was for us and how much we adore the staff but it wouldn't even do our experience justice. The short of it is this: the Rogers Eating Disorder team brought my girl back to life and I will be forever grateful. There is no other treatment program like it. My hope is that anyone struggling finds the same guidance and support we did.
