I am a companion with an 83 year-old veteran she has metastatic cancer and has to receive infusion on the 6th floor all the staff including Mary Ann Rodriguez the nurse is so helpful joyful loving and caring you couldn't find a better nurse. They treat me like I am family when I'm there with my friend I feel the love they have for each and every patients that they care for everyday.
The staff here are great, but I don't know who's idea it is to not build a bigger parking spot for elderly disabled veterans to attend their doctors appointment is totally beyond me. I saw navajo code talkers, who saved this country from the japanese army, literally walking a half mile just to see a doctor. How the doctors aren't hanging their heads in shame is beyond me, but I was deeply saddened by the parking situation this morning. People fighting, pushing and shoving to get a doctors appointment. What good is second largest budget in the country if you can't even find a parking spot to get your healthcare.
Can't say enough on my post to the doctors, nurses, cna's, medical assistants and everyone that took care of my family and everyone else in the medical medical field. YOUR TIME, COURAGEOUS SELF, KNOWLEDGE, AND EMPATHY of family. I THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU AND YOU ARE HEROS. BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FORWARD AND I PRAY YOUR KNOWLEDGE , HEALTH, SAFETY, AND CAREER GOES FAR AND BEYOND. You all are truly amazing in the ICU and I thank you from my entire heart that my family is still here and thanks to you all. Love and happiness 😊 💕 💓
The hospital staff is good. But the primary care sucks. My primary care Aaron V. Keeps calling out but than shows up the next day with out seeing it calling me. It’s been almost a year since I’ve seen my primary care and I need medication and help. The Utah VA was the best that I have dealt with. I could see behavior health primary care and specialty care providers anytime I needed and when I called they would answer. Here they don’t answer at all. Useless VA system.
I want to thank the nurses the receptionist and the doctors for the work that they do at the VA Hospital especially in the Urology area my husband is a patient there and the care that he is receiving is a plus thank you I am a graduate nurse and I know good care when I see it our VA hospital is outstanding
E R. Visit, post review - horrible abdominal pain with a fullness feeling In my upper center abdominal area. Near debilitating horrible pain, that nothing could fix except, I had hoped Any sort of diagnosis. I don't go unless I feel like I'm gonna die. Iv always been right with VA. 32yo disabled;combat veteran. I was told, we don't know whats wrong. Also, you have spots on your liver. Have a nice day. I will not stress my opinion but you can read this review.
I want to say that my experience with the VA has been very good. I really appreciate everyone that looked after me during my surgery on the 11th of March 2021. All the people I dealt with from the receptionist to all the nurses, anesthesiologist, residents just everyone. My nurse Maddee Lena, forgive if I spelled it wrong, she was so awesome and so accommodating to all my needs, extremely friendly and another nurse who helped but forgot her name, thank you so much. Dr. Martinez and Dr. Bitter from UNM, thank you so much for the surgery and explaining everything so thoroughly, the communication with my Mother and my wife. Your professionalism and experience helped me in making the correct decision on my surgery. If I left anyone out please say thanks to them also. I am thankful and grateful for all of you
Got my first Covid shot today also appointment for round 2. Went pretty fast it's a Drive through shot clinic. After you get the shot you drive to a parking area wait for 15 minutes there are nurses and others in case you have some type of reaction, feel bad or sick. If so they tell you to honk your horn someone will come to your assistance. Really good process it's for Active Duty and all us Veterans. I got my appointment through texting I was contacted given a time available. Asked to type yes if want that time. Have to answer fast! I guess the text is sent to multiple people I said yes about 15 times. To get a appointment time. Thank you to all the staff everyone else directing people where to go filling out shot cards helping with questionnaire. Then the shot. I'm so glad I got mine.
On 17 Feb 2021 I received my second covid-19 shot at Tent #10 at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center. The staff was extremely professional, personable and set me at ease. I especially wish to commend Ann Lewis and Angela who attended to me at Tent #10
I was an ICU nurse for years, so I am a bit of a discriminate consumer of health care. I have received outstanding inpatient and outpatient care at this VA. I have had multiple surgeries, to include bilateral knee replacements by Dr. Yaw and a foot reconstruction with Dr. Jociz and the care of these surgeons, nurses and technical and support staff have been wonderful. Access, at times can be challenging, but I don’t believe this varies greatly from the public nor private sectors.
