all i’ve gotta say is i’ve been going here my whole life, and when you get with the right person (takes some trial and error as every psychiatrist is different) and it’s 100% better than any other place i’ve heard of. EVERYONE is constantly complaining to me about their psychiatrist somewhere else i’ve never had to do deal with that. i’ve always had good experiences with my psychiatrist. i actually really recommend this place.

At first, I thought the doctors there were very good. Then all the sudden has my wife was having problems they decided that she needs chalk treatment. All I heard was shock treatment shock treatment shock treatment. It turns out that she had brain cancer. It would have been nice if they had thought of something else other than their thoughts have nothing but brain cancer we have to get her electric shocks no electric shocks was not the answer. It may or may not have helped my wife get better if she had been discovered with his cancer sooner. But I'm very disappointed that they had no thoughts except shock treatment

The physicians assistant that I see is wonderful but my appointments keep on being cancelled. I’ll show up and the staff simply states that I don’t have one. Or that the Doctor canceled and they called (they’ve never called). So Im going on around 6 months with zero mental health care.

Note: Apparently phone hours are 9 am- close. I had to start going to these offices after my regular doctor left. They only have maybe 1-2 doctors on staff but only count on one. They don't seem to be able to keep the people they do have either. I live in St. Mary's so we don't have choices here. I will say the doctor they have managed to keep is very nice and the others I get to see are pretty nice... front desk could use some work but I haven't found a place in the pennhighlands network that has had friendly desk staff yet.

Sounds like somebody just hating cause they didn't even rate the correct place they rated the inpatient while this is the outpatient and its all a different thing .This place is the best . Better then dickinson for sure better then anywhere .. The doctors are the absolute best and therapist is amazing ... When I have rough times I can tell they care and they try to get me in asap . the only complaint I have is aginst the secretaries they are rude bitchy and think they are better then everyone . Jo and gene are not jo and gene are very nice straight to the point and very helpful but the rest are rude . overall this place is the place and if you want the correct help go here .

Inpatient or Residential Mental Health Treatment
Inpatient Mental Health | Mental Health
Inpatient or residential mental health treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
