Dr. Rodriguez is non-responsive to my Father's request to get a community partner referral so that he can have an extremely important test done to be able to better manage and treat his epilepsy. My Father shouldn't have to suffer because of his either unwillingness or laziness instead of providing a veteran with the care he desperately needs. We have reached out to our local congressman in efforts to help move this situation forward. It is sad that medical care is so difficult for our veterans.
You’ll get getting the runaround. If they do call back no voicemail is left if you missed the call so you have no idea who to call back. Attempting to change doctors because I’m completely ignored. Luckily I went for a second opinion doctors in the community are wondering what’s going on with the Va. We deserve better.
Since I received my disability retirement 32 years ago, I have exclusively used the VA for all my medical needs at several locations throughout the country. I've never had to complain about anything. On the contrary, I have nothing but good things to say about them.
My 85 y/o father tested positive for Covid-19 and was sent home a day later with a fever of 101.2. Here we are 11 days later and he's still running a fever. After calling the home care service there several times about not only his fever but also the piece of gauze embedded in his arm, Dr. Patterson called and insisted that we bring him into the facility. I was skeptical at first, but Dr. Jackson called and assured me that he should be brought in a d that he would personally see to the care of my father. So in this 7degree weather we sent him by ambulance to the VA only to be turned around. I called the administrator and she agreed to let him come but 5 minutes later the medicine doctor called the ambulance and told them he would not admit him and trying to explain the medicine doctor saidmy father's doctor had nothing to do with it. So now he's back home with a fever of 102.1. Yes we are people of color and you definitely got the right ones. My father is 85and has underlying health issues and in and out of this type weather is not good. God Bless those nice gentlemen from Balentine for GREAT service. My father's life matters
I was at the facility to see a loved one and Reggie (Reginald) was very helpful. He acts of kindness helped me to get closure and it was really nice to know that a complete stranger genuinely cared, simply because he saw that I was hurting. Random acts of kindness and I’m truly grateful.
