The Marquette VA Outpatient Clinic @ The Peninsula Professional Building Located On The 2nd Floor Is Not Wheelchair Accessible. I Had An Appointment 6/18 @ 2pm & I'm In A Heavy Duty Spinal Cord Electric Wheelchair Provided By The VA; The Majority Of The The Doors Aren't ADA Accessible. My VA Rehabilitation Counselor @ The VA Outpatient Clinic Moved Our Meeting To The Basement & We Were Able To Conduct Our Business. The American Disability Act Was Enacted In 1990 & Here We Are In June 2019!!!! Still Having Problems With An Act Regarding Disabilities Of Americans. Shame On The Veterans Affairs & The Management Of The Peninsula Professional Building.
Since transferring from Saginaw due to move, nothing but disappointment and frustration with this clinic. Apathetic, rude staff and employees. Very difficult to reach anyone when you have an issue. Left 2 messages with nurse line for follow up as not feeling better to never get a call back. Mistakes made by nurses regarding type of therapy needed and ordered. Psychiatrist most condescending apathetic individual I have ever met. Complete disappointment. A real travesty to the veteran community who deserve so much more.
