This clinic opened in 2018 and it was one of the best. My husband got great service and most Dr's were great. Then the Covid hit and a lotof of care was done via phone. Then just a few days ago myhusband husband had to see his regular Dr. Also he wanted to know when his nextweek blood test was. Now came the suprise. He now has to go to Dublin for a regular test as there is not enough staff in the Macon clinic . Now it's an hour or more drive. I realize that the covid has affected many things but if Dublin can do blood test have some lab people come from DUBLIN VA a couple of days per week to staff Macon. The priceof of gas is going to hurt a lot of vets who have to make the long drive, and for some physically impossible. I am sure if Dublin and Macon would work together this problem could be solved
Made an appointment for 10 AM I finally was called back for my one hour appointment at 10:45. I asked the doctor was I still going to get my for one hour she stayed know that she had a meeting previously that ran long and that I would still only get now 15 minutes. Doctors name
Macon VA Clinic 5566 Thomaston Rd, Macon, GA 31220 Nurse Practitioner Felicia Graddick is a complete disgrace to the medical community. Not only did she blatantly disrespect my husband but she refused to disclose the name of her supervisor. My husband needs emergency surgery for his knee due to a service connected disability and she refused to advocate for him, she lied to him, she advised him that he was 'Aggravating Her' and that she will hang up on him. These calls are not recorded due to HIPPA and she capitalizes off of this. Her ego is the size of a cathedral and her beside manner is disgusting. I am going to be submitting a formal petition to have her removed and hopefully also get her license revoked. I am CONFIDENT that my husband is not only person being treated this way because her level of arrogance is baffling. She truly believes that she runs that place and that she can lash out on patients. The atmosphere in that VA is TOXIC. You can sense it from the moment you want in. It is due to her "leadership". In the end, we had evaluate to 5 separate patient advocates and file 2 formal grievances and my husband will soon be able to get the surgery that he was entitled to all along. Thank God he was not in severe pain. Because of Felicia, a process that should take a few days, took weeks. She has the demeanor of a parole officer and she DEFINITELY in the wrong profession. I will never forget this horrific experience having to interact with her. We are also changing providers and driving further just to ensure we never have to look at her face again. Like
I live in Warner Robins, using the Perry clinic as my primary. I visited the Macon clinic and it was like I was transported into an entirely new universe. Never had any trouble with anyone from medical staff to front office people. Even the cop/guard was cheerful, professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I never felt rushed or ignored, and my physician went out of her way to help me and answer any and all questions my wife and I had. I'm seriously thinking of abandoning the USS Perry VA Clinic, and making the USS Macon Clinic my primary now. They make Perry look like it's in the dark ages. Comparison : Perry= tiny-cramped-looong waits, people with negative attitudes, and nasty furniture. Macon = bigger- more cheerful environment-shorter wait times-people with positive, caring, and helpful attitudes- newer-did I say bigger?-much much better across the entire board. I'd rather spend 15-20 extra minutes on I-75N and get great service than 15-20 minutes in total on Moody Rd - S. Houston Lake Rd and receive nightmarish service. For the record: Perry's bright light is there are several staffers who are great, caring, and helpful. They REALLY do their best to help and serve you. They're just stuck in a rotten, raggedy system and have to work in a not so nice place to work. I hope this review is helpful to everyone who reads it.
