I just cannot believe how good they are taking care of me. The Cleveland VA medical is excellent, maybe the best in the country. Especially the Akron Clinic division and Amy Firrell. They take such good care of me. I love them all and wish them the BEST of Holidays.
It is Sept 30, 2021, and I waited 26 minutes just to re-schedule a CT scan, and I didn't even speak with anyone. Called back and asked to speak to someone in charge who can actually make something happen, and I have got a ringing phone with no answering machine or any way to leave a message. I have now been on hold for 5 minutes just waiting to speak to an operator to transfer me to a department I have no doubt will not pick up. It's almost as if this hospital is reflective of the entire VA....paying their employees massive amounts of money to not care about Veterans. The worst experience I have ever had in my life in terms of customer and patient care. They need to equip the local VA clinics with X rays and CT scan machines so I don't ever have to go back to Cleveland VA medical center a day in my life. Oh, and it's been a month and a half, and I still don't have my travel pay from an appointment.
Went to the VA having chest pains and also needed a COVID test after three hours and getting vitals I left. If you’re not old decrepit this ain’t it! Nobody in their 20s and 30s got 3 hrs to waste! I see why my age range aren’t ever there it’s a waste of time
Went to ER on Wed Sat there for 6 hours in a cold room after being swabbed for covid and strep because my primary doctor through the VA said that's where they are directing people okay fine after all that and xrays im.told I have acute bronchitis okay fine they gave me amoxocillion I said this really hasn't worked for me in the past he says let's just try it I said I do better on a zpak nope didn't care it's Monday of the next week and I've been calling all morning for my dr to send me something different I said it's going to turn into pneumonia if I'm not careful they do not care they want me to come in for another appointment I said I've already taken 3 days off work I can't and it's too far nope still wo t help me so much of a joke no wonder no one trusts the VA
I give Wade Park Day Hospital a failing grade.Im in the WRAP program.Im trying to stay clean and sober.I was given the option to be in group or individual counseling and each person has a constitutional right to choose either according to The law of informed consent.I have a hard time dealing with group therapy and requested individual counseling and explained that when I'm telling perfect strangers in a group having issues them selves I don't them to know my week esses because people can take advantage of that outside the group yet they persist in not allowing me the option of individual counseling. I'm having problems because of it.
The worst customer service, it's unbelievable. I first called the dermatology clinic to make an appointment for my husband. The lady I spoke with said we'd have to get a referral from primary care and as I was asking a question she hung up on me. I then called the main primary care clinic to make an appointment to get that referral. The lady I spoke with said they didn't have his information yet (since we just moved out from a different state). I was inquiring on how to change that and she hung up on me as well. Please train or hire more professional people that are willing to help your patients.
The level of care and compassion I received was above and beyond what I expected. The staff made me feel like they truly care about me. However scheduling and appointment is a nightmare, run in loops by operators, very disappointed. VA should consider upgrading communication platform to Five9 to solve this problem.
Update. Scheduling an appointment is just an absolute nightmare. Long wait times, phones that just ring and ring without an answer, people just pick up the phone mumble something then transfer you into phone hold hell. C’mon VA you can do better than this!!!
