I enrolled on Wednesday and was super impressed with the outstanding service I received from Annette Burks and Allie Washington. They were extremely professional and assisted me with completing all paperwork. Ms Burks then scheduled my first Appointments and although it was 3 months out, she did inform me that if there was any immediate need to see a doctor I could go to evaluations to see a doctor and address any immediate health concerns. I addressed 3 concerns and the nurses and Dr's in Evaluations were absolutely amazing. I received immediate care for one and was scheduled in a more timely fashion for the others. This was my first time at VA and upon arriving at noon I did not have any parking problems. Overall, I am extremely pleased with the awesome service I received and they certainly met my expectations.
Very good customer service . The staff for the Red Team, Blue Team and Dental Clinic were patient, informative and assisted me in a prompt manner. They made me feel important ,valued and answered all my questions . Glad my tax dollars support our veterans . 😊
My experience at Jacksonville's VA location was excellent. Ms. Johnson assisted with my PIV card information and handled all of my questions and concerns. Ms. Johnson is extremely kind, polite, and went above and beyond to assist me, even though my card is being processed at a different location. Exemplary service!
I went to an optometry appointment today and the doctors who were available were students who had no idea what they were doing. The only doctor who was available was very rude and she did not want to listen to what I was saying and finally she told me to be quiet. The staff at the site do not show the best intention of helping, much less are they interested in the health of veterans. This place is such a waste of time. So I decided to go to another private clinic.
Im new to Florida and came with a lot of medical issues. The employees here have been doing their best to expedite me being seen by a provider. They are very accommodating and actually listen to me. However, like any VA it gets pretty busy and you can experience long waits. Overall im satisfied with what i have seen so far.
Spent nearly two hours in total on hold today attempting to reach a provider to schedule an appointment. I was removed from my Primary Care team because I hadn't been seen in a while (no biggie, put me with someone else I guess) but was promptly hung up on after giving them my last name and social. I was then queued 5 more times with the ultimate response being a click as I was hung up on before even speaking a word. Whatever is wrong with your system, you very much need to fix it asap. I'd come in but gas isn't free and my time is spent working or doing class work.
I had a dental emergency that the dental clinic at Jacksonville was unable to handle. They referred me to a oral surgeon at the Beach. However when I called to make the appointment the oral surgeon's office said that they had not received anything. I then called Gainesville Community Care to see if I could expedite the process as it was turning into a dental emergency (swelling, pain). I did get some assistance but was told that my referral needed to be signed by the chief of the dental department. That's when I ran into a roadblock as I was unable to get through to them. I went to see the patient advocate at the Jacksonville outpatient clinic (Winette Cox) to see if she could provide assistance. She was absolutely awesome. She made numerous calls and navigated this referral all the way to the top. I left with an appointment for the next day. I can't thank them enough for their help!
