This place will have an incoming lawsuit for detaining a patient way past the legally allowed time for a stay without court order. Don't voluntarily check yourself in here. State law says you can leave whenever if "voluntary" but they will keep you locked up and say the doctor is busy for days. Beware, stay away if you actually care about your loved ones. The good reviews are all fake, written by staff there.
Boyfriend went in to seek mental health. tells him everything was going to be okay, he'll get help, etc etc. Examines him and then says there's nothing you can do nor can't even get a referral. People are suicidal and just want help, you're not doing your damn job. Any place that only helps certain types of people are the worst places you can go to or be at. Do BETTER.
I was here for 6 days staff was incredible, I was on Palo Verde lowest acuity unit. Groups were fun, chair yoga, chimes, FMLA information for addiction/mental health. Toni RN, Enong RN, Maureen BHT - super nice and fun staff! Casey SW worked really hard getting aftercare for me she's a rock star! Met lots of wonderful caring patients many with SMI. The only reason I give 4 stars we didn't get to go outside and psych. MD not great. BUT a safe, supportive place lots of snacks! I gained 4 pounds! :)
Haven Behavioral Hospital of Phoenix is a true assest to the community. Candis is very reliable, dependable and shows she truely cares about what she and Haven offer to the community. If you have a loved one who is in need of behavioral health services, I would highly recommend Haven Behavioral Health.
I just left this facility, and while it can be frustrating to be stuck in a lockdown ward, I think the staff does a good job. The BHTs have a lot of patience and will do what they can to make you comfortable. I’m lucky to not smoke, as that may be challenging for some, but I would return if need be (although hopefully not).
