It’s been a year since I visited this horrible institution and I still have PTSD from this experience. I was involuntary admitted after coming in for what I thought was a therapy session. Next thing I know I’m being locked in behind metal doors, herded by security, and being forcibly injected (I am talking needle to my throat) with antipsychotics and sleep medications- all of which I’ve NEVER in my life taken or have come close to ever being prescribed. On top of the horrendous treatment by staff and security I was locked up without a doctor EVER even seeing me! I won’t go into more detail about the nightmare that was my stay, but I’ll just say I am still recovering from the trauma this place put me through. This place is a scam and they are trying to take your money. If you need mental health services go ANYWHERE, and I mean ANYWHERE but here. If I can save one person from having to live through the torture I endured, that’s all I can hope for.

Thank you so very much for screwing me over!!! Called stating I needed my son admitted immediately-you said come in now that you’d place him…well guess what…drove 2 freaking hours just to be told there’s not a bed and now my son is totally denying treatment!!!!

Well my Columbus Springs experience starts with me at my lowest feeling lost and literally not able to speak without crying that first day in my final group. I'm still struggling because the reality is I'm human and we struggle. The story doesn't end there though. I ended up in a group run by Kayla Malot (Maloy) A group of about 12 people, some zoom as well as some in person following CDC guidelines. Their schedule is a rotating one so new patients are entering in to a group where some patients are getting ready to graduate. I found this amazingly important to me because it allowed me to see people who felt like I do but who were also feeling better. Don't get me wrong. I'm not fixed but Kayla made all of us in one way or another realized that we're not really broken. Being able to see other people's journey, both good and bad, makes you realize that you can have hope for tomorrow. The amazing and probably most important job of what Kayla does is act as a conductor in a room full of people trying to speak out to support each other. She was really good at picking out which voices need to be heard and for who. She is the reason I raised it from a four star to a five star. The staff was amazing. Everyone there was constantly welcoming and that I think is huge for anyone. We all feel lost from time to time and the last year has definitely taken its toll on how many of us look at the world, to feel welcomed and seen in the world, was an amazing gift. Zen

I really needed this place. Been in a rough spot for months, and when I finally decided to get help, they helped me get the right medication and some therapy to feel a lot better. I did inpatient and then partial hospitalization. Everybody really cares about their patients, and when I finished the program, they told me I am always welcome back if I need help again in the future. I loved the therapists, Sarah my doctor, and the ladies in the kitchen were so nice. Thank you for getting me back on track with my mental health.

First I must say the staff are 100% great!! They could do better with programming I feel so that everyone is on the same page. And think they may spend a bit more one on one time with the residents, but maybe they are just needing more staff for that to happen. The average stay is a week, I spent 21 days voluntarily and believe it has impacted my life tremendously thus far. And want to thank everybody there for their support, care, and genuine love.

Inpatient or Residential Mental Health Treatment
Inpatient Mental Health | Mental Health
Inpatient or residential mental health treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
