in my opinion they should get better staff at the desk area it just feels so monotone and uncomfortable, but i absolutely love my therapist Amy. If you’re going here i recommend to see Amy, she is an absolute sweetheart, she helped me with my some of my issues and we’ve only had a couple appointments, but the staff at the front desk aren’t the kindest or friendliest and i get it but i think they need to get better staff for that area.
My therapist Mrs. Debbie is amazing. She truly was born to help people with mental health issues. She is the most patient down to earth person I have ever met. I can't thank Debbie enough for helping me to see life from a better angle I highly recommend anyone suffering with mental health issues to make that call their are people at CMH that really care and Debbie is definitely one of them !!!
i wish i could have something nice to say about this place my wife goes there and it has helped her allot so i decided to go there myself as they offer all the services for both mental health and drug and alcohol treatment i called and had to wait 3 weeks for my intake and was just a few minutes late and i even called them and they said it would be ok I forgot my insurance card they were very rude to me about it and said i needed to reschedule and the closest appointment was an additional 5 weeks away so that would be 8 weeks from my original call for help. they have cancelled and rescheduled my wife appointments with almost no notice several times. i was so frustrated and for me these services are life or death. so sadly i will be finding another more understanding and compassionate place to get the help i need. i am still in awe about how rude and unprofessional they were especially to people who have depression anxiety and other mental health issues.
Have only been here 3 times. Our counselor Heather is compassionate and competent, wonderful. The waiting area needs improvement on providing a comfortable/clean space for those waiting. Improvements could start with the check in staff. Dont be on your cell phones or engaged in personal conversations with each other while ignoring those in line. If you're sick, you should stay home:/ Keep area wiped down and maybe put some reading materials / coloring books out, play some music, etc. Get creative. Just suggestions from someone with customer service background.
They need a child friendly receptionist. The older lady working in the child's area had the nerve to say I was yelling at my child. I'm at a mental health facility. My child is add/ADHD and his behaviors are off the charts at times. Please find a new approach to your method. Maybe distract the child offer him some books. Don't shame the mother and make me feel bad for trying to discipline my child. Completely inappropriate. I do love the providers at this clinic. Nate is amazing and so is Dr. Sadik she is great. I was embarrassed of his behaviors and that didn't do anything but make me feel uncomfortable.
