Impossible to get ahold of and they could care less about anything you need. But I will say taking drug screens here for outpatient was nice. From the desk ladies to the people who collect the samples. They were all sweethearts. But as for the not calling me back boy it's getting old.

I am honestly shocked at all the one star reviews!? I was a heroin addict for 8 long years in and out of over 10 rehab centers, 3 prison sentences, countless jail stays. Chestnut was the last rehab I went to and I have been clean for 4 years in October. I personally had an amazing experience at Chestnut. The counselors, at the time anyways, we’re absolutely great and we’re able to get me to open up like never before. They have many resources from medical detox to paid apartments after inpatient. Of course there is a waiting list, but that’s to be expected. They do let you have you phone, which is commendable they respect their clients enough to do so. I ended up moving from my hometown near St Louis to Bloomington because it has so much to offer and is a huge recovery town with so many resources for recovering addicts. The only thing I could complain about was the food left much to be desired...however they have since relocated and are catering with a new company that I hear is MUCH better! They would benefit from building a cafeteria in my opinion. I have since gotten my own home, car, everything I could ever want, for married, and started my own business. I am forever grateful to Chestnut for their services!

I would've given minus stars if this site allowed. My son has been detoxing in the waiting room for 3.5 hours now. If you have any kind of insurance GO ELSEWHERE!!! They knew we drove an hour and a half to get here and they did nothing for us before we got here???? Illinois needs to shut this horrible place down before someone truly dies in the waiting room!!!

Had to click one star to be able to write a review but ZERO STARS are more appropriate!!! Please look elsewhere if you need treatment. The staff is full of people that truly could care less about you, your addiction, or even the bare minimum of the work they are there to do. I actually personally witnessed and was inadvertantly involved in two cases of gross violations of other patients privacy rights and am trying to secure a lawyer for to get those two staff members fired. Not to mention the fact that while I was there voluntarily I contracted head lice from doing my laundry in that nasty nasty place.

Inpatient or Residential Mental Health Treatment

Inpatient or residential mental health treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
