This place is only interested in money not helping kids. They have a lot of people working for them that are only there for a check. This place will mess your kids up way worse than you can imagine.

i was sent here for 5 months and it honestly was not as bad as everyone makes it seem. I had a great therapist who i truly connected with and most of the staff were very nice and you could tell how much they wanted to help you and see you get better. Although there were some staff member who were just rude, like this one guy with braces who one time said that he hopes people get super mad so he has a reason to put them in a hold. i filed multiple staff reports against him and he came to confront me in person and tell me im wrong for what i did. overall i think it really helped me. We also really didnt get to get out much becuase if one of our peers was in trouble than we all had to stay in. so instead of going down to the lunchroom to eat we had to eat on the ground outside our doors for months.

This the worst place you can send your kid for help, I gave this one star because I couldn’t get this a no rating, all the staff there are unprofessional, they are people just like us, normal people, not trained professionals. The staff run on favoritism. And there facility made everyone feel trapped and isolated. There was a staff member named grandma who she made every one call her that (even if they didn’t feel comfortable calling her that) and she would nit pick on every mistake someone did, like little stuff like talking loud, and would always throw stuff in your face about how it was there fault they were there. Treatment is supposed to help your kids not make them worse, you can’t help a kid learn how to better himself if you treat him like a prison inmate. You have teach them and help them learn how to cope with tough situations. Your not gonna get to a kid by yelling at them I’m not saying let the kid get away with everything but you have to be there for them. Most kids become bad because of there life trauma and putting them through something like make it worse. Especially isolating them in a big brick building and never letting them go outside or interact with others. Or making the put there nose against a wall with there hands behind there back. Like come on you can’t do that to a kid!!! You can’t!!! Especially if you want them to better themselves. Also the therapist there were terrible. There was a therapist Chris who work there and would always promise everyone they would get out in the next month and lie to them and they would be there way longer than a month. He also would try and shove assumptions at them like he knew the kids , telling them I bet your this kind of kid, or telling them there lying about there past trama. YOU CANNOT DO THAT TO A KID AS A PROFFESIONAL THERAPIST!!!

I was in Boys and Girls Home Family Service s in the early 1990's and I can honestly say that I am so thankful and blessed that I was put in there, I was placed in a housing unit called Corbet House, I can rember a few of the staffs names, Rhonda Risner, Joy Fisher , Julie , Michelle, Ivy. Amy Webber Amy Webber at the time had a brother who was playing basketball., I can also remember another staffs name who was Cj, she was one of the over night staff, she was at that time the only one who was able to get me to actually calm down, Iif I had it to do all over r I REALLY WOULD , because they helped me to grow up into a beautiful woman that I am today, Bob sheehan W as also another name that I also remember .

Inpatient or residential mental health treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
