I came to Ambrosia on Singer Island, lost, and scared, and not knowing who I was or who I was meant to be. All I wanted to do was to get healthy and stop drinking. What I didn't know was how to get there. I received so much help at Ambrosia that my life is better for it. The first person I met was David, one of the case managers, he listened, actually truly listened to my fears and concerns, and you could tell he honestly cared about each one of us. After speaking with him, within a day I felt better and knew thats where I was meant to be. His energy, smile, positive attitude and encouragement are contagious. I can't even begin to say how much he has helped me. To mention others that will forever be in my heart are my counselor Marg, the techs Roger, Cherie, Kierre, Erin, and Melissa. The crew they have working over there at Ambrosia are so compassionate and caring, and are always there to help. I 100% recommend Ambrosia on Singer Island if you truly want to heal and be a better person. This place saved my life, my marriage, and my family, and I will always be grateful to them. You will always be in my heart.
I wanted to thank a few people who contributed to my success in treatment. David case manager was so professional and caring. He always takes time for patients and gets the job done. The best!! Marjorie my therapist was the best counselor and I wish I could take her home to continue helping me. Cheri and Roger were techs that helped with caring and compassion. I would recommend Ambrosia Singer Island to anyone struggling with addiction.
Was at this location a few years ago after being in different south Florida rehabs. I can not express how different and amazing this place is compared to others in the area. The location and amenities are amazing. The treatment approach is not the same as the others and this is what made the difference for me. I hope I never have to return to any rehab but if I do I would only go here. I recommend this place to all the people in my 12 step groups who are struggling. It is an amazing different holistic approach to sobriety. Thank you all down there for helping me get my life back!!!
Ambrosia is marketed as a top notch rehab, charging insurance companies up to $87K monthly, however as soon as you walk in the door you will be in for a surprise. Living spaces are extremely dated, they are dirty, old TV’s, poor quality and damaged furniture, beds are horrendous, and pillows are a dark yellow color from years and years of use. Catered food is subpar and at times inedible. Food is eaten on paper plates with plastic utensils ( when they don’t run out ). At Ambrosia, money always rules the day. Treatment and the well being of the client is always a distant second to how much this place can squeeze out of insurance. Therapist Glen verbally abuses the clients and lead therapist Sean permits it. The higher ups in their medical department are criminally negligent at best. One person was hospitalized due to a seizure simply because they absentmindedly did not give him his anticonvulsant medication. Several others were put in life threatening situations due to staff ineptitude, and refusing to supply clients their meds. While my blood pressure was dangerously high, I was ignored for days and fortunately did not suffer a stroke. There are however some diamonds in the rough that truly take pride in the job and truly care about the client. Unfortunately it only takes a few bad apples to spoil the bunch. Thank you Brenda, Dave, Emily, Char in nursing, Sharee, Frank, Manny, Sal, Mitch, Dr. Tim, Bert, Kelly, and Junior. Sorry if I’m forgetting anyone. I’d strongly recommend that you stay far far away from this place if you are serious about your recovery.
