I’m at a loss and disheartened by this experience. A human being was assigned to this faculty after having open heart surgery and being discharged with a letter from his doctor to be admitted. He had been verified a bed. Although, because of his heart condition, he wasn’t permitted, the social workers did not offer assistance as to where to go next. Instead, they put him back on the streets, a person begging for help, waited there all day with a suitcase after having open heart surgery and not one person could explain to him where to go next... disgusting!

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, First of all They have 0 to no supplies, No sheets, no clothing. There is a schedule thats there to help you recover and it’s never followed.. No counselors or support, you will catch MANY HOMELESS people there just for the food and Shelter. Attended for 1 day and I had to run from that place! Don’t he fooled just because its in Manhattan doesn’t mean its clean or stable

I cant believe this place is still open. I was a patient here in 1994 and back then it wasn't the cleanest. The food was God awful, the rooms were not that great, but that said when I think of some of the places I stayed in my addiction, then this place was like the Hilton. What I got here was Clean!! I can't say enough good things about the staff. They truly cared about their patients. I was coming off 10 bags of heroin a day and my detox was virtually painless. I remember only one of the counselors names.. it was Charles. He was phenomenal. So if your looking for the Ritz forget it, but if you want to get clean, down and dirty is the best way!! Put it this way, before this place I did 30 days at a place called the Seafield Center out in the Hamptons and I used the day I got out. It all just depends on how much you really want it.

    Inpatient or Residential Addiction Treatment
    Inpatient Addiction | Addiction
Inpatient or residential addiction treatment. Inpatient treatment is the most intensive level of treatment, offering 24-hour care in a secure unit of a treatment facility or hospital. Residential treatment is a step down from inpatient treatment. While there is structure and some monitoring to treatment, the big difference between residential and inpatient treatment involves the setting in which it is carried out. While inpatient treatment is typically carried out in a treatment facility or hospital, residential treatment is usually carried out in more of a home-like environment.
